Fannish 5

From Fannish5:

What 5 series/books/movies can you rewatch/reread time and again?

+ Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (sad, but true)
+ Stargate SG-1
+ LOTR: FOTR (technically ALL of the LOTR series, but especially FOTR)
+ The Dish
+ Stardust

To be honest, I can rewatch (time and again) most of the TV series that I own on DVD but the meme did only ask for 5 answers…

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix today. Really enjoyed it - very much so, in fact. I think I’ll have to go back for a second viewing, though, to let it all sink in properly. I have a feeling there were a few things that didn’t quite make sense because they may have been expanded on in the books.

Speaking of, I came out of the movie really wanting to read the books - moreso than I have with the previous four movies. Think I’m going to have to get my hands on some copies to read (or listen to! Audiobooks FTW!).

On the whole it’s been a lovely movie-filled couple of days. Watched the first four Harry Potter movies between Wednesday and last night (got through Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire yesterday - randomly, I admit to having an unhealthy amount of love for Gary Oldman as Sirius Black *loves* with adoration to a slightly lesser degree for David Thewlis as Remus Lupin) and then with #5 today, it’s capped off a great weekend. :) Though, it’s also been a little weird seeing the kids age so much in such a short amount of time (so to speak). And then seeing them in OotP today - dude! ‘Scuse me, since when did the guys playing Fred & George get so hot???

Time to get my head out of Rowling’s world and back into my own. For the time being, anyway. ;)
