From Fannish5:
What 5 series/books/movies can you rewatch/reread time and again?
+ Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (sad, but true)
+ Stargate SG-1
+ LOTR: FOTR (technically ALL of the LOTR series, but especially FOTR)
+ The Dish
+ Stardust
To be honest, I can rewatch (time and again) most of the TV series that I own on DVD but the meme did only ask for 5 answers…

Quite possibly one of the BEST things I have ever seen on Good News Week.
Alas, I never actually saw this on TV as I missed last week’s episode! But a friend was kind enough to fill me in.
Watch, laugh, and sing along!
We’re happy little vegemites…

Guillermo Del Toro is directing The Hobbit!!
That’s BOTH movies! (Yes, both) Also, am very impressed he went to TOR.n himself to post and confirm the news.
More news about it on TOR.n here.
Next up, The Dark Knight.
New poster available!! OMG OMG.

*flails* And MORE coming in four days apparently!
Also, in more news about how awesome my birthday month will be. Not only do I get The Dark Knight a bit over a week before my birthday and The X-Files: I Want to Believe the day before… Stargate: Continuum is releasing July 29!

Empire Magazine’s 50 Greatest TV Shows meme
1. Bold the shows you’ve watched every episode of
2. Italicise the shows you’ve seen at least one episode of
3. Post your answers
(Seriously, I can’t believe this list. That certain things made it on (”Family Guy”?! For real?!) and others didn’t… WTH.)

I had been feeling decidedly off all afternoon. I had to work until 5
and it was, honest to God, the longest train ride home EVER. I thought I might have to hop off, more than once.
The off feeling continued after I got home but it’s only just before, watching GNW and cacking myself, that I felt surprisingly better.
My favourite part? Paul’s rant about the notebook. OMFG.
Never underestimate the value of laughter!

Holy crap I am SO. SORE. I had my first pilates class at Pure today and jaysus. I knew I was out of shape but aasdklfjsdlfk. I don’t feel quite so bad though because Elaine went with me and she was the same. LOL My lower back was CANING through the latter part of the class (honestly felt like some sort of hard ball was digging into my back). I have an inkling I’m going to be REALLY feeling it all over tomorrow. Eep.
Mum convinced me to book in with the physio tomorrow. I wasn’t going to but I think I need it. Lucky for me I have Eric, who is awesome. What’s even better is that he’s actually one of the pilates teachers for Lifestyle Therapies so I can ask him about stuff - namely what I can do to NOT feel so much pain when I’m doing the exercises.
Loooong day at work today. Started at 8:15 and didn’t finish until 5:30, though that was mostly because I was waiting for Mum. She was by herself (M wasn’t in) and absolutely run off her feet, so she worked back to get everything done. I didn’t mind too much - I had PLENTY of work to keep me busy, plus working that extra half an hour made up the extra time I took at lunch for my class.
Oh, and something else I meant to mention re: Pure. I did my actual sign-up with Emma (the manager) right after the class and two interesting things came out of it.
1) She had a look at my quote/enquiry form from last week and apparently Genevieve (who I spoke to last week) didn’t put down a quote for my joining fee (though she told me $49 at the time) so Emma said she’d just leave the joining fee this time. 8-O And the joining fee for 6 mths is usually $149!! *is very grateful*
2) I asked about what happens towards the end of my 6 mth contract when I move away. Emma said my best bet was to transfer the membership. YES, THEY ALLOW TRANSFERS TO OTHER PEOPLE. How great is that? Rather than copping a cancellation fee (which I think works out to be the remainder of your payments) they will allow you to transfer the membership to someone who wants to finish it off. Excellent. Fingers crossed I can find someone.
Now I’m going to sit here (rocking chair + laptop) and watch this week’s Life & Pushing Daisies, which I haven’t yet had a chance to watch. Can’t wait!

VirginMegastores.co.uk has S1 Doctor Who (2005) for £6.99.
Considering the boxset is still ridiculously expensive out here, I just ordered it. £6.99 is what it was processed as (therefore, if it’s a glitch - likely - then I’m assuming they’ll have to honour it) and £4.50 for the postage. So I just bagged the boxset for AU$26 (or thereabouts) incl. postage. For REAL.
*is happy DW fan*
I knew there was a reason I kept putting off buying the boxset.

A380 sex seekers brought back to earth. Dude. They’re putting wine/champagne on a double-bed that’s strewn with ROSE PETALS. Exactly what atmosphere are they going for here?
LOL
Yay Daniel Craig! He’s apparently scored a contract for four more movies as Bond. SWEET.
Heroes spinoff series Origins has been pulled. Nooooooooooooooo!
Police called to horror prank. What is wrong with people? Do they think that crap is funny? Wankers.
And in more ‘What the HELL is wrong with the world?!?’, Elderly man dies ‘in fight over garden hosing’ [2]. That is seriously freakin’ messed up.
Woman’s ’small penis’ slur from ad leads to road rage. And the guy looks even MORE like an asshat for his response!
BTW, the ad [found here] is great. Well done RTA. *snort*
Doberman saves girl and kelpie saves woman from snakes. That is unbelievably AWESOME. Dogs are my favourite kind of people. The story about the Doberman, in particular, is amazing considering the background.
One last link I’ve been meaning to post. Excellent opinion piece written by Justin Monjo (ex-Farscape writer) about the upcoming election in Australia. Great work, Monj.

Of course I could be slightly biased because Blackpool and David Tennant were so brilliant…

Being around Mum is rubbing off on me.
I’m watching Bathurst.
Mum grew up an avid fan of racing but stopped watching over the last few years because she found she was losing an ENTIRE day while she was engrossed in the V8s.
And yet here I sit with the TV on Ch 7, watching the cars tearing around Mt Panorama. I’m not a ‘fan’, but I can understand the fascination. (It’s also amusing hearing Mum talking about Bathurst. I swear she sounds GIDDY.)
Lead-foots/petrol-heads run in our family. Pa (my grandfather), my Uncle Randy, Mum and now me. LOL
